Kate Winslet is ravishing as Tilly Dunnage in first look at The Dressmaker... as she shares a sizzling kiss with younger man Liam Hemsworth
It's a movie set in the Outback heat of Australia, but it's the chemistry between 39 year-old actress Kate Winslet and younger love interest Liam Hemsworth, 25, that really sizzles in The Dressmaker.
A new trailer for the movie shows Kate's character Myrtle "Tilly" Dunnage locked in a steamy kiss with Teddy McSweeney, played by Liam.
The movie follows the story of Tilly, a dressmaker who returns to a small Australian town after many years living in Paris to take care of her sick mother.
The jab comes when Tilly returns to Australia after many years living and working as a dressmaker in Paris, only to face off against accusations form her past that she murdered a young boy when she was just ten years-old.
Using the power invested in her by her sewing machine, Tilly is able to give the town's ugly-duckling resident Gertrude "Trudy" Pratt -played by Sarah Snook- a jaw-dropping makeover.
Especially jarring against the spare landscape, the luxurious crimson tones of one figure-hugging dress draws the attention of the all-male sports team practising in the field- led by Liam .
But that's not enough to quash the rumours that Kate killed a little boy, and the issue of Kate's guilt or innocence is at the centre of film.
Kate is seen struggling with her reputation throughout the trailer,as she says 'I didn't do it, it's just a pack of lies,' and 'They'll never forgive me for that boy's death.'
